Lori practiced law for more than 30 years, most recently with the Portland, Oregon firm Ater Wynne LLP. In 2015 Oregon Governor Kate Brown appointed her to the board of directors of TriMet, the transit agency for the Portland metropolitan area. Lori’s community activities include service on the boards of directors of Catholic Charities of Oregon and Chamber Music Northwest. She was the founder and project visionary of Germaine’s Kitchen and Café, the former Catholic Charities culinary training program.
Shaili is a former chef-instructor with Germaine’s Kitchen and Café, the former program of Catholic Charities of Oregon. In that role she provided culinary training to people experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities, while also preparing and delivering 600 hot meals per week to homeless shelters and transitional housing. Shaili has worked in the food industry and food non-profit world for over 9 years. She is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work at Portland State University in the fall.
Kelsey Allan was the former Program Director for Germaine's Kitchen and Cafe, formerly operated by Catholic Charities of Oregon. She has worked in food access and the nonprofit sector for nearly a decade and is currently the Director of Operations for the Vancouver Farmers Market in Vancouver, WA. In this role, she curates inclusive public spaces aimed at supporting local farms and small businesses. Kelsey previously spent five years leading the Healthy Food Systems Team at the University of Nevada, Reno Extension, where she implemented gardening programs in low-income communities and helped author a garden-based nutrition education curriculum for preschoolers.
Cindy Dulcich retired from a career as a 4th and 5th grade Portland Public Schools teacher. In 2019, Cindy teamed up with Lori Bauman to pursue the vision of a program to provide opportunities for people experiencing intellectual and developmental disabilities. When Germaine's Kitchen and Cafe launched, Cindy taught life skills to students in the culinary program. Cindy is honored to serve on the board of Germaine's Culinary Inc. and is excited to help guide it as it grows and impacts even more adults in our community.
Sam is the General Manager of TriMet, the transit district for the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. He previously served as TriMet’s Chief Operating Officer. As General Manager Sam is responsible for all aspects of the region’s transit service, including bus, light rail, commuter rail and paratransit. He has more than 27 years’ experience in public and private transportation. He is a military veteran, having served ten years in the U.S. Army.
Jake is the founder and President of Classic Foods, Inc. Since 1984 Classic Foods has supplied artisan specialty products to hotels, restaurants and commercial businesses in the Portland, Oregon area. Jake and Classic Foods support community causes including Our House, for people living with HIV; Birch Community Services, for families experiencing hunger and economic hardship; and the Oregon Humane Society’s annual Doggie Dash.
